We can hardly contain our enthusiasm and love for ASMR and for reading, so we thought - why try? By sharing our interests, we encourage our listeners/viewers to enrich their daily lives and pay more attention to their health.
Our mission is to promote self-care, mindfulness and attention to health.
We two LoveNirds believe that these are all important elements of a successful, healthy life, and helping others focus on these interests strengthens our own healthy habits, too.
Lack of sleep is a major health concern in the US and all over the world, but after you discover ASMR, insomnia begins to feel like less of a problem. When ASMR helps you sleep, it improves your physical health, and we care a great deal about that. We also hope that when our listeners/viewers discover how it feels to get a good night's sleep on a regular basis, they will make other healthy decisions as well. We want you to care as much about your health as we do. When you take care of yourself, you can better care for others - we need more of that in this world. Muscle tension and nerve-related pain is no stranger to us, nor to you, we'd wager. Chiropractic treatment helps, and we are lucky enough to be have one another to help work out some of the knots and soreness from time to time, but we recognize that not everyone has access to this kind of treatment. We all have access to one powerful tool, though: our minds. The mind is truly amazing; with focused effort, it can actually decrease the tension held in your body, and with a massage video as a kind of aid, that gets even easier. So we're trying to help you use your own superpowers to treat yourself. Another passion of ours is mindfulness. It has become a habit for us to take time out to balance the hectic cacophony of everyday life with a peaceful, focused calm. When you take a break from your thoughts once in a while, everything in life becomes easier. One of us even quit smoking with almost no effort after beginning a meditation practice. We have found that relaxation videos provide a space for people to reach that calm, free of nagging thoughts, even without "meditating" per se. We are convinced that many of the same benefits are achieved with ASMR and other forms of stimulus-based relaxation. Just about everyone has had the experience of nodding off while reading, and for many of us, bedtime stories were a childhood ritual. Parents know well that reading to a child will help put them to sleep, and it works for adults, too. We'd like to incorporate reading into our videos because we know that it's a great way to combat insomnia and it has the added benefits of stimulating the imagination, improving vocabulary and enriching our lives culturally. Whether it's taking time to decompress with an ASMR video or beginning a regular mindfulness practice, anyone who views our content will be on the path to better mental and physical health, and that makes us feel fantastic! We have benefited from those ASMRtists who've come before us, and we are happy to pay the favor forward. |
